The Midyear Mark: How’s the Plan Coming?

← Back to Insights

June marks halftime of the calendar year, and it’s a natural time to stop, assess, and ask: How are we really doing?

Here’s what we’re encouraging clients to revisit this month:

  • Year-to-Date Financial Performance – Are your jobs holding the margin expected on bid day? Are we maintaining the backlog forecasted in Q1? If not, what needs adjusting?
  • Updated Work-in-Progress Schedules – A current WIP tells the story of where your company’s been — and where it’s heading. It’s also a key part of every meaningful bonding conversation.
  • That Dang Plan – Back in January, you might’ve set a resolution to finally get serious about your company’s future. How’s that going? Whether it’s succession planning, leadership structure, or clarifying your long-term goals, midyear is a great time to revisit the big picture.

We’re having more and more conversations with contractors about the people side of the business — making sure the right feet are in the right boots. In EOS terms, does your team Get it, Want it, and have the Capacity to do it? And are you carving out time to build—not just work in—your company?

If you want to bounce ideas, test scenarios, or get an outside perspective, we’re game. These are the conversations we’re built for — and a natural extension of how we support the clients we serve.
